Once upon a time, the American economy depended on agriculture. Because farmers had to get up at Egads O'clock, a system was devised so that every six months the standard time was either set back or pushed forward an hour to allow the farmers more light to work by. Or something. Who knows? Since our government and economy have worked so hard to make everything else more difficult for farmers, the continued existence of "Daylight Savings Time" is baffling, and should probably be abolished.
Imagine a different concept being arbitrarily changed every six months. Maybe during the spring you have to move one house to the left, and in the autumn, you have to move across the street. Or maybe every six months the street names changed, or the color system for traffic lights changed. How would this affect your world, and would you find a way to combat it?
