A Ghost Stanza Prompt is when you take a line or stanza written by someone else and use it as the first stanza of your poem. When your poem is finished, you should go back and delete the original author's work. You can edit in your own work to replace it, if you feel it's necessary.
This week's Ghost Stanza comes from Jeffrey MacDaniel:
"I broke my word so many times, it became
a handful of crumbs I sprinkled at my father's ankles
whenever I needed money."
