Adam has a new friend. bobdapoet, theklute, foxthepoet, y'all might want to make sure your bladder is empty before you read this. Tonight I spent some quality time hanging out with my new friend from NY/Philadelphia Carlos "Who Black Man, What Black Man, Where Black Man, When Will Black Men Be Men Again?" Gomez.
I'm as stunned as you are. I finally got the opportunity to slam "Hacks Part 4" against the aforementioned poem that I may or may not have ridiculed, taunted, made a mockery of, skewered, what have you in the not-so-distant past. The kicker is? He knew why I was doing it, and he liked it. He even bought my book.
I also got to read "The Problem With Hookers" during a near-feature with thisisstar, J*Me, Delisile, and VCR. Muchos funos. Though I did sell out and do "Bad Sodomy" in an attempt to beat Carlos at his own game. It failed, but it was fun. HArd to do a poem about the problem with priests after you've just read a poem lampooning people who write poems about problems with priests. Still, he only got me by .2. Blah.
Other highlights of the night? Queen Sheba from VA. featured after our spotlight-to-make-up-for-the-fact-that-the-feature-isn't-here-yet feature. She had the place transfixed. I missed most of the open mic because I was walking Carlos to the T but what I saw of it was....open micish, including the little snotball who read his "fuck you poets" poem because poets aren't original or sincere. Dude, if you're sincere and you write that kind of poem, what the fuck are you doing in a poetry venue?
Other highlights of the day included dinner with Star. Pretzel rolls on sandwiches rock harder thank Dokken. We also have an idea for slam qualifiers that are going to kick some major ass. The sort of stuff I think grammarsquirrel, loudpoet, and scottwoods might find very interesting. When I get the idea sketched out, I'll post it in slammasters provided it won't get lost in the billions of posts there.

Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
