It seems that every conversation I've overheard in the past two weeks has devolved into something like this.
Say it with me: Marriage is a word, not a religious act. If people want to stick to their guns about not allowing gays to be married, they should also outlaw statehouse marriages, Buddhist marriages, Hindu marriages, atheist marriages, agnostic marriages, Muslim marriages, and heaven forbid Mixed Marriages. /rant Also, last night I had a dream that took place entirely on my LJ page. People commented instead of talking. This may be a sign that I need some quality time away from this computer. I will marry Michelle Pfieffer once she has a sex-change and converts to Islam Link Leave a comment | 12 comments Thu, Feb. 12th, 2004 10:43 pm (UTC) campanai will marry the former Brooklyn Dodger owner Branch Rickie once he has a sex change and comes back from the dead. I like to try and decipher what dreams mean though, I think it means you moss seeing your friends in person. . . (& for the record, i have no idea what my position on steakhouse marriages is.) Well, I suppose he's just miffed because the SLC won't officially recognize marriage between a man and his longterm haggis. Look at it this way: if your visual processing system sped up and you were able to see faster than 30 frames per second, you'd watch TV and it would look like a flipbook. This is just a sign that your mind is going fast enough that you're starting to notice that all your life is actually LiveJournal communication. Most people just tend to overlook that fact. But now you know...oh well!! I will marry myself once I establish a concurrent parallel protocol for running two of my brains in the same universe at the same time...and build an adequate translation system so that when I'm performing sexual favors for myself I'm fully unaware that I'm doing a guy. Wow. I read a post recently about someone seeing himself having a threesome from all three perspectives, and being horrified that he had two cocks in his mouth. Even if both cocks were his own. Otherwise you'll get caught up in all kinds of issues of awareness of how we are all one holistic machine exploring and ripping up its own guts... http://www.catandgirl.com/view.cgi?44 Link Parent - Thread - Reply Tue, Feb. 17th, 2004 11:41 am (UTC) beyond_pale: fyiMassachusetts only had civil marriages for it's first 70ish years.
