Adam Where Have You Been?

They stole an hour from my birthday.
That was the hour that my friends showed up with the cake.

Circumstance seems to be the only thing that moves me these days.

Family Funeral #3 in 2004 is Saturday. Unfortunately, it looks like #4 may not be too far behind it.

My mother's hands are cracked
Too much sanitizer
An allergic reaction to latex gloves
Holding too many hands as they're laid into graves
An MRI tech should not have to spend so much of her free time in other hospitals

I have had four parents
And only time for two of them

5x3=ratio of time taveling to time doing anything else
5x3=slam idea that no one but slammasters seem to like

I've said some things that need to be said
Still, I regret the tone of voice I've been using

It's hard to face the music when it's coming at you from all directions

thisisstar makes the best b-day cards in the world
If you haven't received one, God hates you

Last Wednesday No Cantab
Every former LL team member-Kwesi & J*Me performed for Iyeoka's Boston CD release
I was told I had to work Saturday, so I couldn't attend the NYC show
When I went to work, I was not on the floorplan

Last night I made amends on things better broken
I am using up precious apologies better directed to people I don't talk to anymore

I recently received sharper focus
I started seeing the world through Mike McGee's glasses
I am now Nerd Gay King of Boston
Morris is in Seattle

I keep talking
But find I have little to say

euqort: Dear Nerd Gay King of BostonI hate to hear that things have been so hard...and not in the good way.

Your better times are coming, I am sure of it.

akamuu: Dear Poetry Goddess of Corpus Christi (by way of Austin)Thanks, Tonie. things aren't hard (in either meaning of the word) here. There are certainly many people on my friends list having a much more difficult time of things than I am. Everything just seems so shambolic recently (if I may steal that word from your lovely hubby).

Soon, though, I shall conquer the town with my big black eyes, and pepper-spray my fandom with lemming meringue.

Until then, I shall continue to hide under the covers, chewing my Doritos as quietly as possible.
